Download merged.pdfReceipts must be PDFs first
This tool joins PDF files only. A photo of a receipt (JPG, PNG or similar) is skipped with a message. Turn each photo into a PDF first: use a scanner app that saves PDFs, or the print or share menu in your phone's photos app if it offers saving as PDF. Menus differ by phone, so look in yours.
Big photos make big PDFs. Shrink them before you export, with the free image compressor and resizer. It works on JPG, PNG and WebP images, not on PDFs.
Name by date
Start each name with the date, then say what it was, so alphabetical order is date order:
- 2026-03-04-taxi.pdf
- 2026-03-11-hotel.pdf
- 2026-03-12-meals.pdf
If your expense report lists items another way, by category for example, name them to match or reorder with the ↑ and ↓ buttons.
Merge them
- Press Choose files and pick the receipt PDFs.
- Check the order in the list.
- Press Merge PDFs, then Download merged.pdf.
A merge takes up to 5 files. For 8 receipts, merge the first 5, then merge that result with the other 3: 2 merges, and 5 + 3 = 8.
Size budget
The free limit is 20MB per merge and nothing is compressed. Divide 20 by the number of receipts: 8 receipts leave 2.5MB each on average, 10 leave 2MB each. The last merge holds every receipt, so the whole set must fit. Where you send the file may have a lower limit, so check that too.
What this does not do
It does not convert photos, read amounts from them, crop, rotate, or check that each receipt is legible. Your originals are never changed. Whether your employer or finance team takes one combined file is for them to say: check what the person or portal asking for it accepts. More on the free limits.
