How it works without any software
Your browser reads the files you choose, a script on this page copies their pages into a new PDF, and the browser offers the result as a download. The files are not sent to a server. Here is how to check that yourself.
What this tool does not do
A full PDF editor does much more than merging: editing text, signing, redaction, text recognition on scans, building forms. This tool only joins whole files in the order you choose. If you need any of those other jobs, use a full PDF editor for them. If you only need to merge, you do not need one.
