Name the statements by month

Save each statement as a PDF and start its name with the year and month, so alphabetical order is date order:

File pickers usually list files alphabetically, so they arrive in order. If a statement PDF is locked with a password, the merge stops with an error; see what to do.

6 or 12 months with a 5-file limit

The free merge takes up to 5 files at a time. Feed each result into the next merge:

Rename each result as you go so you do not mix them up.

Check the total size first

Merging adds sizes together and does not compress. The last merge holds every page, so the whole set must come to 20MB or less on the free version. 12 statements of 1.5MB each make 18MB, which fits; 12 at 2MB each make 24MB, which needs Pro. Scanned paper statements can be much larger than ones downloaded as PDFs.

Why not uploading matters here

Statements show account numbers, balances and transactions. This tool merges in your browser tab and the files are not uploaded; here is how to check. The merged file and any intermediate results stay in your downloads folder, so delete the ones you do not need.

What this does not do

It does not hide or redact numbers, remove pages, compress, or check that every month is there. It joins whole files only. Which months, what format, and what size the landlord, accountant or lender wants is for them to say: check what whoever is asking for the file accepts.

Pro is Hexloom Pro, $29 a year or $4 a month, one subscription for every Hexloom tool. It removes the 5 file and 20MB limits. There is no account: Pro unlocks the browser you subscribe in, and the confirmation page has a link to restore it elsewhere.
