Put your PDFs in the right order, then merge

Drag files into position or use the arrow buttons, and merge once the list reads correctly.

Two ways to reorder

Drag and drop: grab a file by the ☰ handle and drop it where it should go. Arrow buttons: each file has ↑ and ↓ buttons that move it one place. The arrows are ordinary buttons, so they also work from the keyboard and by tapping, which is easier than dragging on a touch screen.

Added the wrong file?

Press the ✕ on its row to remove it, or Clear all to start again. Nothing is merged until you press Merge PDFs.

Name your files so they line up

Files usually arrive in the order your file picker lists them, often alphabetical. Naming them 01, 02, 03 before you add them means they are usually already in the right order.

What reordering can't do

You can order whole files, not individual pages inside a file. If a file's own pages are in the wrong order, fix that file in a PDF editor first. After merging, look through the result before you delete your originals.
