Merge PDFs without losing quality

Pages are copied into the new file as they are. Nothing is turned into a picture or re-compressed.

What "no quality loss" means here

The merge copies each page's content into the new file rather than converting pages to images. Text stays text, and images stay as they were stored in the original. That describes how the merge works; it does not change how any viewer draws the pages.

What may not carry over

Bookmarks, interactive form fields and document-level details such as the title belong to a whole document rather than to its pages, so they may not appear in the merged file. If you rely on any of them, check the result before you delete the originals.

Why the size is about the sum of the parts

Joining files adds their sizes together, give or take a little overhead. This tool does not compress, so it will not make the result smaller than the files you put in.

Check the result

Open merged.pdf and flip through it before you delete the originals. Your original files are never changed by the merge.
