This tool merges PDFs only

Photos, screenshots and images (JPG, PNG, WebP, etc.) are not PDFs. This tool accepts PDFs only. Any image file is skipped with a message. You must turn your images into PDFs before merging them.

How to convert images to PDF

You have several options depending on where your images are:

Once each image is a PDF, you can merge them with your other PDFs.

Shrink large photos first

Photos from a phone camera can be very large. Before you export them to PDF, shrink them with the free image compressor and resizer. It works on JPG, PNG and WebP images to make them smaller, which usually makes the PDFs you export from them smaller too. Then export the smaller images to PDF and merge. This step is especially useful if your email or upload has a size limit.

Then merge them

  1. Once all your images are PDFs, press Choose files and select them, plus any other PDFs you need.
  2. Check the order in the list. Use the ↑ and ↓ buttons to reorder if needed.
  3. Press Merge PDFs, then Download merged.pdf.

What this does not do

It does not convert images, resize them, crop them, rotate them or adjust their colours. It joins PDFs only. Image files that are not yet PDFs are skipped with a message. If your photos are scans of paper pages, this page covers scanned files.
